He was in the US legally and permitted to work while his case was being reviewed

He was living in Dallas and worked in an aluminum plant

He had a tattoos:

a rose with branches and an arrow with his sister’s name

He has no criminal record in the US, Peru or Venezuela

His mother, and sister have talked openly to the press

His wife is afraid to give her name, she and Leonel have 3 children
